Advantages of Cable Suspension:
- Flexibly adjustable picture cables
- Professional picture hanging at any time
- Two materials to choose from: perlon cables or steel wire cables
- Two variants: picture cables with loops for use with sliding hooks, or picture cables with plate gliders
for attaching the cables to the gallery rails
Advantages of Picture Cables
When combined with a gallery rail, a cable suspension, and picture hooks, pictures are always mounted with a high-quality look.Perlon Cables
A perlon cable is the more discreet option among picture cables and, the thinner the cable you order, the less visible it is. You can choose between 1.5mm and 2mm diameter perlon cables. Most customers opt for perlon cables.
Steel Wire Cables
A steel wire cable impresses with its look and adds a special touch to your picture hanging.In-House Production of Picture Cables
We manufacture all picture cables ourselves, except for Newly perlon cables and Newly steel wire cables. In our Hamburg-based workshop, we have been producing picture cables for professional picture hanging since 1982.Selecting Cable Suspensions:
The first decision you need to make is whether you prefer the more discreet perlon cables for your cable suspension or would rather make a statement with the distinctive steel wire cables. Perlon cables are often chosen for cozy interior settings. Steel wire cables suit more stylish and modern environments. The next decision is the choice of the cable suspension sliding mechanism. From our range, you can choose plate gliders or loops/eyelets for attaching the picture cables to the gallery rails. Plate gliders are ideal if your gallery rail system should remain as inconspicuous as possible. Perlon or steel wire cables with loops in combination with sliding hooks showcase your pictures even more effectively.
It is important to consider the diameter of the perlon cables. Depending on the weight of the picture frames, the thinner 1.5mm perlon cables stretch more than the thicker 2mm perlon cables. The 2mm perlon cables are the most commonly used. Additionally, consider how often you change your pictures. If you frequently reposition the picture hooks on the perlon cables, the thicker cables are also recommended. Also, take the overall load capacity into account for both materials (nylon or steel wire cables) to ensure the picture cables do not tear when hanging large frames exceeding the load capacity.
Cable Suspension Prices
There is little price difference between picture cables with eyelets and plate gliders. The main differences lie in the choice between perlon and steel wire cables. Additionally, the length of the picture cables also affects the price. Tip: Order the perlon cables a bit longer. You can easily shorten them yourself with scissors.Cable Suspension Consultation
